Indonesia Investment Authority (INA)
Dr. Ridha Wirakusumah is INA's Chief Executive Officer. He is one of Indonesia’s top executives in
banking, financial services, and investment, with more than 30 years of experience of leading global
and Indonesian institutions.
He has led INA, Indonesia’s first and only sovereign wealth fund, since it commenced operations in
2021. Under his leadership, INA has invested more than $4 billion together with co-investment
partners across transport and logistics infrastructure, healthcare, green energy and transformation,
and digital and digital infrastructure sectors, in line with its mandate to contribute to Indonesia’s
sustainable economic development and build wealth for future generations.
INA has become a Full Member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) since
September 2022, and achieved a National Long-Term Rating of ‘AAA(idn)’ in February 2024, the
highest rating assigned by Fitch in its National Rating scale for Indonesia.
Prior to joining INA, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Bank Permata. He has also previously
served in several multinational corporations including as Head of Indonesia at KKR & CO., Chief
Executive Officer of Bank Maybank Indonesia, CEO of Asia Pacific AIG Consumer Finance, CEO of
Asia Pacific GE Capital Consumer Finance and Banking, CEO of GE Capital Thailand, CEO of GE
Capital Indonesia, as well as Head of Corporate Finance of Bankers Trust, and Head of Public
Sector of Citibank Indonesia.
He also served as Chair of the Finance and Infrastructure Task Force for the Business 20 (B20)
Engagement Group of Indonesia’s 2022 G20 Presidency.
He obtained his Doctorate in Business Administration from City University Hong Kong, an MBA in
Finance and International Business from Ohio University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical
Engineering and Science from Ohio University. He completed the Advanced Management Program
at University of California, Berkeley.
