About IES
The Indonesia Economic Summit is the Indonesian Business Council’s annual flagship event.
Hosted by
IES is a high-level forum designed to bring together international business leaders, policymakers, thinkers, and industry champions. The forum explores Indonesia’s current and future economic development, and how it becomes the new growth hub in the global landscape.
In 2025, IES addressed a wide range of important topics, including industrialisation, fiscal and monetary policy, investment, food security, energy transition, state-owned enterprise reform, international market diversification, green protectionism, and human talent development.
In 2026, under the theme “Coming Together to Boost Resilient Growth and Shared Prosperity”, the summit examined inclusive growth, the national economic model, overseas workers, trade policy, industrial investment, business competitiveness, digital transformation, ASEAN’s economic positioning, and strategies to address the challenges of global risks.
Continuing in 2027, IES takes place on 20–21 April at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. The two-day forum carries the theme “From Growth to Prosperity: Social Impact Beyond Numbers”.
The summit also gives business leaders and strategic partners a platform for discourse through thematic and bilateral roundtables, alongside in-depth policy dialogue with government. The “IES in Action” segment showcases the Council’s ongoing projects and research.

Founded in February 2023, it is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, unaffiliated with any political party. It serves as a business-led policy platform for constructive dialogue on corporate governance and public policy.
