Jakarta – The association of Indonesian CEOs and business leaders, Indonesian Business Council (IBC), will be hosting the first Indonesia Economic Summit on 3-4 October 2025. The summit is a high-level forum designed to bring together international business leaders, policymakers, thinkers, and industry champions at the time when Indonesia is transitioning into a new leadership.

IES will explore Indonesia’s current and future economic development, and how the country can become the new growth hub in the global landscape. It will feature more than 100 prominent global and Indonesian speakers who will speak in plenary sessions, panels, as well as business leader’s roundtable sessions.

In its first year, the summit will touch upon various topics, including industrialization, fiscal and monetary policy, investment, food security, energy transition, state-owned enterprise reform, international market diversification, green protectionism, human talent development, and others – all are critical aspects for the future growth of Indonesia and its partners.

CEO of Indonesian Business Council, Mr. Sofyan Djalil, explained that IES will provide an opportunity for business leaders and strategic partners to explore future investment and understand Indonesia’s future economic direction. “It is an important opportunity to learn about Indonesia’s economic and growth strategy and to ensure collaboration across stakeholders, including policymakers,” stated Mr. Djalil in a recent statement.
